2008 Chapter Scholarship Winners

Our two winners each were presented checks at the March 17th Chapter meeting by Scholarship Chair Heather Kopeschka.

Presentation to Warren Rucker Warren Rucker is a senior at Franklin Community High School, in Franklin Indiana. Warren has been an outstanding student, as he is currently ranked 4 of 282 students. He has been an AP scholar, recipient of the William H. Scott Math Award, Tobey Award for Marketing, and Latin Awards. Warren is involved in the National Honor Society, and the Tennis and Swim teams at his high school. In the summers, Warren has been a life guard at the Hillview Country Club and Franklin Parks and Recreation. At this time, Warren is undecided on his college of choice, however became interested in engineering as he feels his affinity for math and science can be put to good use.




Presentation to Mitchell Mounts
Mitchell Mounts
is a senior at Perry Meridian High School, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Mitchell has been involved in a number of extracurricular activities, including Cyber Blue Robotics Team, Show Choir, High School Musicals, and Creative Writing Club, and had earned Academics and Music Varsity Letters, and is a gold metal winner of the ISSMA State Vocal Competition Solo Group. In addition to these activities and keeping up in his studies, Mitchell, has had several of jobs including: Kerasotes Theatre, Office Max and Cold Stone Creamery. Mitchell plans to attend Purdue University following graduation, and became interested in engineering while working on his FIRST Robotics Competition with his Cyber Blue team his Junior year.
